ACUSCEN TREATMENT

The AcuScen is a state-of-the-art biofeedback-type technology for pain and stress relief, and for helping the body to recover from a wide array of both acute and chronic conditions.

According to Russian researchers, this biotechnology has been found to be beneficial specifically in the management of:

Burns
Pain Ear, Skin &
Dental Problems
Fractures
Insect Bites
Injury (acute or chronic)
Allergic Reactions

What conditions can AcuScen help with?

Research shows that the AcuScen may have benefits for injuries and illness involving pain and inflammation. However, the Russian experience is that this type of device has shown efficacy for a broad range of conditions including:

Digestive
Urinary
Stress
Nervous System Disorders
Cardiovascular
Musculoskeletal
Depression
Immune & Endocrine Systems
Respiratory
Reproductive
Nutritional & Metabolic Disorders

No matter what specific condition is being treated, most people also experience other, whole-body benefits that include increased energy, more refreshing sleep and an improved sense of well-being.

This biotechnology was first developed by the Russians for use as a health device for cosmonauts, who needed to be able to self-treat while in space. The Russians developed a method of treatment known as S.C.E.N.A.R (Self Controlled Energo Neuro Adaptive Regulation), which head scientist Professor Revenko claimed could alleviate the symptoms of almost all types of illnesses, especially chronic ones that are not easily helped by conventional medicine

The device was kept as a highly classified military secret until the late 1980’s. In 1986, the SCENAR was approved by the USSR Medical Council and has been widely used in Russian hospitals and has spread to European hospitals. Many research papers have been published on its effectiveness, and the inventors received the Medal of Lenin (Similar to the Nobel Prize) for its development. With the restructuring of Russia came the opportunity for the SCENAR technology to be made available to other countries. This technology has since spread around the world and into the larger health community. It is being used to great effect by people ranging from the average patient to highly conditioned athletes. AcuScen was developed from the same technology with an emphasis on ease of use and specific treatments.

How does AcuScen work?

AcuScen integrates advanced medical technologies to provide the very latest in “Systemic Interactive Medicine.” The hand-held device sends tiny, therapeutic electrical signals through the skin to the immune system, enhancing its function and stimulating healing responses in the body, such as the reduction of pain and inflammation from injury or chronic conditions. The device stimulates the body’s own healing processes, at the chemical, electrical, energetic and informational levels.

How does AcuScen work?

Specifically, the AcuScen sends out a series of electrical pulse signals through the skin and, using biofeedback, measures the body’s response to those signals. It continues to modify each successive signal cycle to shift the body’s responses toward a more effective healing response. For example, as the electrical pulses stimulate your nervous system, your body releases neuropeptides, which are important in the healing process, helping to reestablish the body’s natural physiological state. Since the peptide increase persists for several hours, the healing process continues even after the actual treatment is over.

What is an AcuScen treatment like?

The AcuScen is a gentle, noninvasive healing modality. An electrode on the end of the small hand-held device is placed directly on your skin, and you feel a subtle tingling sensation as the electropulses penetrate your skin. The device is slowly moved over the injured, infected, swollen, or otherwise compromised area, and as it moves it detects anomalies in the signals at your skin’s surface, which indicate the best place for treatment to be administered for that particular injury. If the injury or illness is not specific to an area of your body, the AcuScen can deliver a whole-body healing, working through spinal reflexes or the meridians (energy channels first identified in Traditional Chinese Medicine). As your nerves release various chemical compounds, the healing effect permeates your body, via blood circulation. This whole-body effect may be experienced even if the treatment is directed toward a specific injury, as everything in your body is interconnected.

How often will I need treatment?

For a recent injury or acute inflammation, treatments need to be intensive, ideally once or even twice daily. For chronic conditions, treatments are recommended two to four times a week initially, and then in reduced frequency as your condition improves. The course of treatment will vary from person to person, since many aspects of a person’s life (such as age, health condition, lifestyle, etc.) must be considered.

The Acuscen is completely safe and noninvasive. Pregnant women, children and even animals enjoy and benefit from it. Only people with cardiac pacemakers or other electrical devices or someone intoxicated with drugs or alcohol are not able to have an Acuscen treatment.

During the treatment of chronic conditions, the treatment may induce what is called a “healing response.” This means that as healing occurs, the condition may move from the chronic to the acute state, and so symptoms may be exacerbated. This is a positive shift, as it means that the body, which has not been functioning properly, is once again working to address problems. But it may mean a temporary increase in symptoms as the body moves the formally “stuck” or “blocked” energy out of the body. Most often symptoms of this shift include fatigue or general malaise or even a slight increase in pain or discomfort for a short time, usually only a few hours, and at most a few days. There are techniques that can be used with the Acuscen and other modalities to manage this healing shift.

For best results, it is advisable not to bathe or shower for two hours before or after your AcuScen treatment.
